Is there a massive global fire and no one told me? Or did I just end up with the lemon car that cannot keep up... What is the big huge hurry now days? I am literally ducking in my seat as they race by. Not to mention the twitches, stomach rolls and cringing my body goes through. Guess what, 3 minutes ahead we are all at a complete stop waiting for a green go of it again. Three or so months ago, I was cruising along minding my business when, I happened to look over a lane, I was flabbergasted. There she was engulfed in her book and driving. Did you get that she was DRIVING. I can hardly change the radio station without weaving let alone read a book. Unbelievable. Bottom line is did I miss something, is this the new fad, cause I haven't seen it mentioned on any talk shows or on the cover of a magazine. If there are any inputs out there I would love to hear them.

Everybody’s talking about illness, accidents, bad luck and etc. that happens to other people. Everyone feels pity for everyone. Tragic lives are favorite topics of conversation in every situation. In shopping malls, offices, bus stops, stations, homes, cafes...we talk about others tragedies while shopping, travelling, waiting, drinking and eating. We some how get a secret joy out of those tragedies. We thank god that we didn’t lose our relatives, our money or health. We thank that someone else has lost his/her relatives, money and health, and we didn’t. We thank that we got our beloved ones near, we thank that we can gossip on others, and we thank we got enough money and so on...others’ tragedies make us feel we are alive..we feel alive by others death, and feel lucky by others’ misery. Thank god i can still write...

Sometimes my 7th period students drive me crazy. I teach an English class and by the end of the day these kids are ready to be done with school. Through integrating technology I am trying to keep these students more engaged and at the same time save my own sanity.

i have spent a whole bright saturday by doing lots of house work. sometimes i think i could do a lot of creative work with the time i spent for home. all the shopping, cleaning, and stuff is just for a place you only need for shelter. maybe living at a hotel room is better, by this way one can save a great deal of time to spent for his/her personal growth. but things do not go on this way: we all need those tables, kitchenwares, chairs, shelves, coaches, tvs, carpets, cds, books, lamps, photos, clothings, and so on..and we need a place for all those stuff, and we call it home..a waste basket..a basket of wasted time, wasted dreams, wasted lives..

Hello,
My name's Samar. I'm from Libya and I live in Tripoli with my family. Tripoli is a capital city in my country. I'm 27 and I'll be celebrating my twenty-eighth after two weeks. I'm an engineer, Also I'm Studying English language at the Academy.
I have a big family. I've a brother and three sisters. My brother is younger than me and he's an engineer. Also, my two little sisters are students and the last one is bigger than me and she's a dentist.
Now, I'm going to describe myself. I'm very tall and slim. I've brown eyes, tanned skin. Some people say I'm stylish.
I think I'm lovable, shy, helpful and hopeful, but I'm a bit positive person because I'm sometimes hesitant.
I don't have much free time because I study English in the morning and I go to work in the afternoon , but I have a great time with my friends at the weekends. I've many hobbies, I like taking photos and reading poems. Also, I like to talk to people from different countries to learn about their culture.
Best Regards,
Samar

Writing in english is my most terrifying nightmare comes true, since i am not native. Additionally, I’m an extremely introvert individual who feels uncomfortable even when speaking and writing in her mother tonque. My writing is noticebly poor, and lacks style and appropriate grammer usage. That is why i am trying free writing. By adopting this methodology i hope to develop my writing skills in english, although i am not sure if this is the best way. By the way, hi everyone, this is a great site for practicing.
